Organization: College Crusade of Rhode Island

Mission: The mission of the College Crusade of Rhode Island is to increase high school graduation,
college and career readiness, and college completion for youth in Rhode Island’s low-income communities.

What does the mission statement address?

The mission statement addresses their purpose, and how they are helping low-income families.

Checklist

• It is clear and simple
• Easily explained
• Address where they are located

Add

• That they are helping high school and middle school from low-income families
• Include how many students they are serving

Rephrase: The college crusade implies that they are helping communities from low-income

families in Rhode Island achieve higher education. By having advisors in middle school,
and high school. The organization was created to provide educational programs to help the organization achieve their goals

Vision: All Rhode Island students engage in a rigorous educational experience, graduate high school,

and complete a post-secondary school program. Rhode Island youth will be prepared to take on meaningful roles in their families, flourish in the workplace, and actively contribute to their community.

Rephrase: The vision statement states that the educational programs will the students and

families they are working with. The educational programs will develop help the students develop great skills that will prepare them for the real world.

Add: I like the vision statement, but I will also change the wording and make it shorter.

What is a Non-Profit?

A non-profit organization is designed to help those in need, and give back to the community. As stated in the article there are different types of non-profits. Such as 501(c). 501(c)(2), 501(c)(3), the numbers, and numbers are different because every non-profit has a different focus. However, a non-profit is focuses on a positive social change, and it benefits the public interest.

Clear Mission Statement
A clear mission statement helps individuals understand the purpose of the non-profit organization. The mission statement should be short and sweet. It should also address what it wants, and the plan they have to help reach their goals.
Strong Communicators 
It is important that everyone in the organization communicates with one another. Communication is key in a workplace. It assures that the organization operates effectively.
Greater flexibility 
A greater flexibility can help the employees accomplish the organization's goals.
Qualified staff members 
Having qualified staff members helps the organization operate smoothly. Also, having qualified staff members may help the organization grow, and exceed their goals.
