Most philanthropy foundations want to make the world cleaner and more equitable place the article states. However, a lot of Philanthropic foundations are investing their money towards companies that are causing the crisis. For instance, a great example the article uses is how are how millions of dollars were invested in pharmaceutical companies,
but this company refuses to make the drugs affordable.

At my internship site, the College Crusade of RI, I have not observed this dynamic at play.
From what I observed the money that is being invested in this organization is all going towards a
good use. Based on what my mentor has shown me, I believe they do a great job at spending their extra money wisely. For instance, there was a time my mentor explained where their extra money is going towards. Their extra money is used for future events or programs. For instance, workshops for parents that do not speak English, and professional development training for the advisors.
